Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had amazing views of the city and convenient cable car access to major tourist locations but felt much smaller than expected, leading us to switch rooms at an additional cost of about $75 per night. The service provided was exceptional, with special upgrades for my 60th birthday and helpful assistance with directions and recommendations, although there was an uncomfortable incident of being accused of using a fraudulent card. The location, while perfect for our needs and walking distance to Chinatown and Union Square, was marred by nearby building construction. The dining experience was great in the lobby restaurant, except for an issue with being charged extra despite available coupons. In terms of facilities, the hotel offered dry cleaning, housekeeping, valet parking, and a welcome drink.
I was thrilled to find our connecting rooms right across from the Tongan Room where we were heading for dinner. The rooms were fantastic, spacious, comfortable, and always clean with great service from the reception staff, who even recommended a nearby doctor for one of our daughters who fell ill. The stay was a mix of delights and letdowns, though. The hotel's location was superb for exploring San Francisco, but the dining was a bit expensive and lackluster.
The hotel was nice with good amenities, but the room was far from the elevator and not as spacious as expected. The service was friendly and professional, with a great approach to guest needs. The location was convenient for exploring the city but near building construction. The dining options were delicious, offering a wide variety but lacking grab-and-go choices.
My stay at the hotel was overall great. The rooms were quite nice and comfortable, although finding some hairs in the shower was a bit unpleasant. The service was excellent, with staff going above and beyond to help, although the bar man seemed more interested in a colleague than the customers. The location was convenient for sightseeing but involved climbing steep hills. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with a nice variety but some items not worth the money. The facilities were good with enjoyable amenities.
My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while fine, seemed a bit tired but were still luxurious and quiet. I especially enjoyed the fun accents like the record player with records from San Francisco bands. The cleanliness and the great view from the 7th floor were definite highlights, although I regret not taking photos to give management a chance to address any issues.
The hotel offers a quiet and very comfortable stay, with great service from the reception staff. However, the rooms were a bit noisy due to the passing cable car and lacked soundproofing. Seating was limited, but the bed was huge.
The hotel rooms were nice and cosy but small for 4 people with very limited storage areas. Unfortunately, there was no view from the window despite expecting a nice view as seen on the booking website. The service was super friendly and accommodating, though there was some confusion about payment procedures. The location was great, quiet, clean, and modern but busy at night. The dining experience offered a lovely selection. Overall, a mixed experience with some positives and negatives.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The location is great, close to the city center and the Embarcadero, but it's very hilly in some areas. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, although being on the trolley line and near building construction made it noisy during the morning and day. The service was very professional and attentive, except for staff in sloppy jeans and sneakers. The dining experience was fair but a bit expensive. Overall, a good value for the price.
The hotel is a great value for the location, with larger than average rooms for San Francisco standards. The rooms are very basic but provide a comfortable place to sleep, and the friendly staff make the stay pleasant. However, the lack of replenishing the coffee bar in the room was a downside. The convenient location allows easy access to many popular sites and attractions within walking distance.
The hotel offers super comfortable and clean rooms, although they could be more up to date for the price. The housekeeping missed taking my laundry for laundry service, which was a minor inconvenience. The service is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to accommodate early arrivals. The location is excellent, close to major attractions like Pier 39 and Chinatown but slightly away from the hustle of Union Square. The dining options were somewhat limited and not worth the high price. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, and spacious, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff, especially Raul the doorman, provided top-notch service, always going the extra mile to ensure my comfort. The location was ideal, close to major attractions and with a friendly and helpful staff. The dining options were delicious, but it would have been better if they stayed open a bit longer. Overall, a great value for the experience.
I felt a bit claustrophobic in the initial room and had to pay extra to switch, but eventually found a nice and comfortable room with a great view and spacious beds. There were a few hair strands in the shower, which was a bit off-putting. The service was lovely, especially with the kind upgrade for my 60th birthday. The location, although up a steep hill, was convenient with easy access to Union Square and the cable car. The dining options were decent, and the facilities were satisfactory.
